"I LIKE IKE"

Dwight D. Eisenhower was Supreme Commander in the world fight against the German Nazis from April 2, 1951 to May 30, 1952. He also became the first Supreme Commander of NATO. Eisenhower was also the 34th President of the United States. He was in office from January 20, 1953 to January 20, 1961.

NATO stands for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization based on the North Atlantic Treaty signed April 4, 1949. NATO's goal as Eisenhower was Supreme Commander was
"to keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down"
